Lenovo will launch its first smart TV, the ideaTV K91, in the China market on May 8, nearly one month later than originally planned.
The K91, which supports Android 4.0, will compete with models from international players in the high-end segment in China's TV market.
In addition to keeping its leadership in China's PC market, Lenovo will also move aggressively into the smartphone, smart TV and tablet PC segments in 2012, company chairman Yang Yuanqing said earlier.
Optimizing its deployment in the IT industry and lower costs in the purchase of TV chips, display parts and even software, Lenovo is expected to outshine local TV vendors in the integrated digital products segment.
