India: Sony to launch the Xperia S on April 10.

Today, Sony India has officially confirmed that Xperia S will be available for purchase in the country starting April 10.

UnwiredView reports that Indian retailer Letsbuy will offer the Sony Xperia S for Rs 32,500 (635 USD or 480 EUR) off-contract. 



Moreover, Sony India states that the smartphone will be bundled with free accessories worth Rs 4,000 (80 USD or 60 EUR). The package comprises the following accessories: car charger, leather case, HDMI cable and 2 NFC Tags.

In addition, the Japanese company offers Sony Xperia S owners 50GB of free cloud storage on Box worth Rs 4,500 (85 USD or 65 EUR). 


 It comes with a dual core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 220 GPU (graphics processing unit), and 1GB of RAM.


Furthermore, Sony Xperia S sports a vibrant 4.3-inch LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen, which is based on Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine. The smartphone’s display supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and features scratch-resistant glass.


Xperia S embeds 32GB onboard memory.



Another strong point of the device is the enhanced 12-megapixel rear photo snapper, which features autofocus, LED flash, 3D sweep panorama, image stabilization and full HD (1080p) video recording. 

The phone’s 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 450 hours of standby time or up to 8 hours of talk time.
