mHealthSummit2012: Directional Dynamics to preview first mobile wayfinding and patient engagement  app.

Directional Dynamics, LLC announced today that it will be previewing its innovative Wayfinding and Patient Engagement Applications for the Healthcare market at the mHealth Summit in Washington, DC, December 3 – 5, 2012. This application, available initially on iPhone and Android devices, is part of the Directional Dynamics version 1.0 suite, to be released in Q1, 2013.

A native smartphone application for Mapping, Wayfinding, and Patient Engagement, Directional Dynamics v. 1.0 will provide patients and visitors with compelling indoor maps of facilities, location hotspots and step-by-step directions throughout a hospital or other healthcare facility. In addition, Directional Dynamics offers indoor positioning technology to deliver real-time, turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation and other location-based services. More than just Wayfinding, Directional Dynamics also incorporates compelling patient engagement features and content, such as staff directories with click-to-call and appointment requests, health information, patient surveys, and hospital news and announcements.

"Hospitals are typically very complex structures to navigate. Getting lost can lead to late or missed appointments and ultimately decreased customer satisfaction," said Mark Green, the Company's CEO and Co-Founder. "Our goal is to fundamentally improve the patient/visitor experience inside hospitals by making maps, directions, and other relevant information available on iPhone and Android devices."
